Engineer Position:
Description:
Work directly
with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Project Estimator
throughout the duration of the project. Document all aspects
of the progress of the work and manage the flow of information
to all parties involved. Monitor the site daily and assist with
coordination of construction activities and site safety. Specific
duties include but are not limited to assisting with the final
development of the various bid packages, baseline construction
schedule and the development of site utilization programs. Establish,
maintain, conduct, and police detailed procedures for the submittal,
review, coordination, approval, and distribution of shop drawings.
Establish and maintain all project engineering files relating
to subcontract and bid package records, meeting minutes, plans,
specifications, changes, clarifications, RFI's, and as-built
documents. Review all vendor schedule of values and prepare
the general schedule of values as coordinated with the Project
Manager. Manage the periodic requisition procedure for review,
submittal, and payment. Determine appropriateness and prepare
subcontractor change orders for final approval by the Project
Manager.
Requirements:
Minimum
of 2 years project administration experience or a college degree
in building construction, engineering or related field. Must
be competent in the use of computers as well as construction
specific scheduling and management software.
