Position:
Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for a complete estimate of projects varying in size, complexity and total cost. The ability to deliver a fairly accurate GMP with limited design documents is essential. You will work with a team of professionals in the industry in compiling all inputs to derive an accurate cost estimate. You will strategize with key decision makers in determining effective pricing for the owner. You will present your recommendations both in writing and verbally to the review committee for approval. Additionally, you will present the final bid to the client. At times, you may manage the project through completion so skills in construction project management are an asset! You will be required to review drawings and proposals and attend pre-bid meetings. Requirements:
5 years as an Estimator of Commercial Construction Projects
Strong cost pricing, math and analytical skills
Experience in quantity take offs and estimating major CSI Divisions (1-16)
Experience in conceptual and hard bid estimating
Self-starter, able to develop and implement procedures and processes
Good Communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently
Dependable, Reliable, Flexible
Computer Skills:
Management Computer Controls, (MC2) Ice 2000, Prolog, Primavera, Timberline, Excel, Word
