Minority and Small Business Commitment

Pirtle is committed to the growth and success of our local minority and small businesses and works diligently to support them in an effort to help promote their firms into successful companies. Pirtle has a history of not only meeting the requirements to increase the level of minority and small business participation, but has consistently exceeded those requirements set forth by our clients.

Pirtle actively solicits disadvantaged or small developing firms though mentoring sessions, outreach programs and participation in various events and conferences. Our entire team, Pre-Construction, Executives, Project Managers and Superintendents, mentor, train and assist all minority subcontractors and business partners throughout the construction process. Some areas of training include construction management including cost control, scheduling, constructability reviews, quality control, accounting, payroll, safety, training programs, subcontractor solicitation, and estimating, just to name a few.  At Pirtle, we mentor, train, lower bonding capacity requirements, and in some instances offer payment assistance to enhance the minority and small businesses that we work with.

The commitment of Pirtle to meeting the objectives of increased minority and small business participation on our projects is demonstrated by the testimonials we have received. Some great examples of continued improvement and success are HYVAC Mechanical, Stanford & Sons, Healey Plumbing and Applegate Interiors.
